  • Congratulations to all who've been accepted and will be attending Michigan in 2008! We look forward to seeing many of you as you pop in the store during orienation and throughout your college career. Feel free to stop in and ask anyone working for directions, teacher recommendations, or to just chat. We'd love to hear from you and hopefully calm your nerves.
  • Congratulations to Andy Hrovat, Peter Vanderkaay, Ellen Tomek, and the many other former Michigan athletes that will be competing in the 2008 Beijing Olympics this summer. Way to represent the Maize and Blue! We're all rooting for you to bring the Gold back to Ann Arbor!

About Us

Tradition

Since 1915, Moe's has been a fixture on the University of Michigan's central campus. Back then, it was known as George J Moe Sport Shop. It was a full-service sporting goods store where you could get everything...golf clubs, ski boots, bowling balls, ice skates, baseball gloves, and even the required freshman "beanie" caps!

In 1971, the business was bought by Edwin J "Bud" VanDeWege, who shaped and guided the store to become the wonderful Michigan tradition it is today. The VanDeWege family continues to carry the baton, as Bud VanDeWege, Jr and family came on board in 1992.

Moe's is about carrying the best and the authentic Michigan Athletics 'on-field' product. We carry the finest name brands in the business including ADIDAS, CHAMPION, TWINS, NEW ERA, and BANNER.

We want to help you. Whatever assistance you need, we want to be there for you. Finding what you need, ideas, sizing, advice, technical information...to hear your comments and suggestions...to talk Michigan...or you just need directions...we want to be there for you. Moe's is different and unique, and our goal is to prove that to you.
